This lady is one of the stronger characters in our “The time for Lepralites” book.

She seems to be a lady that everyone knows.

Or they know someone just like her.

When writing about her I had little idea how she would capture the hearts of the reader. As it turns out I have found one of those nuggets I will talk of in other blogs.

Yes. her character is based on one or two beautiful ladies that were related to me.

I look back on them with fond memories, as they were very strong people with very kind hearts but as like Ma they were careful who they shared that kindness with.

To coin an Irish saying, “They were nobody's fool.”

Alas, they are no longer with us, but thank goodness there are many ladies still out there, that we can admire and love. But that is only if they leave us in.

Ma is one of those characters that could take over the book if I let her, but I had to reign her in a bit to save some more of her for the next chapters that are following.
