Do we always need a Superman or Superwoman
Most of us are full of wishes, of all the things we want or maybe more to the point, what we do not want.
Many times, I found myself wishing upon a star for my life to take a turn for the better. Whether it was a silly situation I found myself in, or money shortages, it was an extensive list for my wishes to overcome.
Thankfully, I do manage to work most of them out, but occasionally, something comes along that is out of my control, and I am left with an empty bucket of dreams and plans because I have had to exchange them for a new priority.
The big one that we face, that always empties the bucket are health issues.
It is the one thing that will steal one’s independent thinking and will always bring the wish word back into play. And when serious enough, prayer will come into one's mind. However, a lot of the time the answers are found in reaching out to someone who has either been through a similar situation or listening to the health experts who are willing to explain things.
When trying to deal with situations beyond my understanding I wished for somebody to listen. It is a funny thing, if it were not so sad, but many people who I would have known to be there to listen as my friends, now had little time to listen. That is why we wrote the Lepralite characters.
The superhuman tendency that they do have is to listen. A lot of proper listening is giving the speaker time and a voice to work out whatever they are going through, as we were. Empathy is a gift that we all have.
But so many have so little time to use it.
Adam's story is one that was written with this in mind.
He was lucky enough to find his Superwoman and the love he craved.
Talk again soon,
